
Gary Koren, Israel’s ambassador to Russia, presented his credentials to President Vladimir Putin on Thursday in the presence of Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
Koren said he thanked the president for the friendly welcome Prime Minister Netanyahu received during his visit to Moscow last week and the growing cooperation between Israel and Russia, including in the context of the security challenges in the Middle East. In his address to all the new ambassadors in the Kremlin, President Putin was particularly warm in his referrences to relations with Israel.
