Hezbollah has fired rockets at an Israeli town in retaliation for an Israeli attack that killed three civil defense personnel in Lebanon. The Iran-backed Lebanese movement has been engaging in cross-border fire with Israeli forces since the war in the Gaza Strip was triggered by an attack on Israel by ally Hamas. Hezbollah targeted Kiryat Shmona with rockets in response to the attack that killed emergency workers in the Lebanese village of Froun. The Israeli military said it had identified projectiles crossing from Lebanon and intercepted some of them, as well as identifying drones crossing from Lebanese territory.
