The book documents the traumatic day through intimate profiles of the nearly 1,200 people killed and 251 taken hostage. Yaron spent four months interviewing survivors, first responders, and eyewitnesses to the attacks. The book aims to keep the sense of humanity of the victims alive and correct the exploitation of the tragedy for political purposes.
