Who was Ibrahim Aqil? The slain Hezbollah commander wanted for '83 Beirut barracks blast

Ibrahim Aqil, the Hezbollah operations commander, was killed in an Israeli strike in Beirut. He had a $7 million bounty on his head for two 1983 truck bombings in Beirut that killed over 300 people. Aqil was a founding member of Hezbollah and was accused by the United States of involvement in the truck bombings and the abduction of hostages. Israel escalated its attacks on Hezbollah after border fighting triggered by the conflict in Gaza. Aqil's death is seen as a significant blow to Hezbollah's command structure.
