A coalition of pro-Iran armed groups in Iraq claimed responsibility for a drone attack against Israel, in support of the people in Gaza. The attack caused no injuries. This comes as tensions in the region have escalated, with Hezbollah in Lebanon launching rockets at Israeli military sites in response to attacks blamed on Israel. The Islamic Resistance of Iraq, an alliance of Iran-backed groups, has previously claimed several drone attacks against Israel, all of which were intercepted. They have also carried out numerous attacks against US troops in Iraq and Syria.
