Egypt's Foreign Minister, Badr Abdelatty, has called for the UN to play a greater role in resolving the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians. He rejects any scenario that results in the displacement of Palestinians from their lands and highlights the need to address the root causes of the crisis. Abdelatty discussed ways in which their efforts and messages during the UN General Assembly might be unified, as well as proposals for action from within the UN to support Palestinian rights. He emphasized the importance of enforcing international law and humanitarian law to protect the Palestinian people. Egypt's efforts to mediate and deliver aid to Gaza will continue.
