Sweden has accused Iran's Revolutionary Guard of hacking into a text messaging service and sending thousands of messages urging Swedes to take revenge over Quran burnings. Swedish authorities claim that Iran's paramilitary Revolutionary Guard carried out a data breach and sent around 15,000 text messages in Swedish. The Swedish company that was targeted has not been named. The clash between Sweden's commitment to free speech and its respect for religious minorities has complicated its desire to join NATO. Iran's supreme leader previously condemned the Quran burnings in Sweden, saying they created feelings of hatred and enmity in Muslim nations.
