Algeria has accused Morocco of using 'Zionist intelligence agents' and announced the reestablishment of a visa regime for all foreigners holding a Moroccan passport. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs claims that Morocco has been deploying these agents to carry out actions detrimental to the stability of Algeria. Algeria holds Morocco solely responsible for the deterioration of bilateral relations. The two countries have been in a state of tension, with Algeria breaking off diplomatic relations with Morocco in August 2021.
