The way we were: Netflix's 'Kissufim' an eerily prescient story of kibbutz next to Gaza

The film 'Kissufim' provides a fresh historical perspective on life in the Gaza envelope, depicting the tensions between Israelis and Palestinians in the late 1970s. The film was shot in 2021, two years before a surprise attack by Hamas terrorists killed 1,200 people and left Kissufim and other kibbutzim badly scarred. The 88-minute film was scheduled to be screened in Israeli theaters last fall but was delayed due to the attack. It has now been released on Netflix in Israel and 15 other countries.
