The IDF has exposed 17 fake social media profiles operated by Hezbollah, aimed at gathering military intelligence. The profiles presented themselves as soldiers and built personal relationships with troops to trick them into revealing sensitive information. The majority of the profiles were still active on Instagram as of Thursday evening. This is the latest instance of Israeli security forces uncovering plots by Iran and its proxies to gain Israeli intelligence through fake social media profiles.
