Bechor Swid, a landscape gardener and father of three girls, was killed while battling the Hamas invasion of southern Israel on October 7. He left his family during a holiday to help his friends in battle and encountered a terrorist cell on the way. As a member of the local security team, he was posthumously recognized as a fallen soldier. Bechor was known for his knowledge, leadership, and trademark cowboy hat. He is survived by his wife, three daughters, parents, and siblings.
