Monitor claims 12 Iran-backed fighters killed in Deir Ezzor strikes

A war monitor in Syria claims that 12 pro-Iran fighters were killed in airstrikes of unknown origin in Deir Ezzor, with a large number of people wounded. The strikes targeted positions in the city and the Boukamal region near the Iraq border. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which relies on ground sources, has been accused of inflating casualty numbers in the past. The origin of the strikes remains unknown, but there is speculation that Israel or the US may have been responsible.
