Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife attended a Friday night dinner in New York City with billionaire Simon Falic, hours after an Israeli airstrike killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. Netanyahu did not depart until after the meal and landed in Israel around 24 hours after the operation. Attendees of the dinner posted images on social media but later removed them. Falic, a close friend of the Netanyahus, sat next to the prime minister and his wife. Netanyahu attended the meal without his usual entourage and journalists. Netanyahu is currently on trial for receiving illicit gifts from billionaire benefactors.
