The IDF found Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar's DNA in a Rafah tunnel complex where six Israeli hostages were murdered in late August. They discovered a room in the same complex that they believed senior Hamas commanders may have used and took DNA samples. Some of the DNA belonged to Sinwar, but the timing of his presence could not be determined.
