Israeli experts recommend a wide-scale strike on all CERS facilities in Syria to weaken Hezbollah's military capabilities and send a strong signal to Iran. The CERS network, which has been converted into a military structure by Iran, produces precision middle-range projectiles used by Hezbollah. Iran has extended its control over CERS to develop a better arsenal for its proxies and shorten the weapons supply chain to Hezbollah. Israel has conducted airstrikes on CERS facilities in the past, but these have been attempts to contain the fire rather than extinguish it. Cutting off the supply chain into Lebanon is another way to prevent weapons from reaching Hezbollah.
