Israeli leaders have assured US Secretary of State Antony Blinken that they will address concerns regarding the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, according to a US official. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu acknowledged the seriousness of US warnings to increase aid to Palestinians in Gaza and committed to responding to the situation. Blinken and Netanyahu also discussed the establishment of transitional structures for postwar governance in Gaza. Israeli leaders clarified that it is not their policy to isolate northern Gaza, after blocking aid from reaching the area for two weeks. The Israeli Defense Forces have allowed 237 trucks into Gaza in the past nine days following international criticism.
