Idan Herman, a 26-year-old engineering student and passionate surfer, was murdered by Hamas terrorists at the Supernova music festival on October 7. He attended the festival with his girlfriend, Eden Naftali, who was also killed. They sought safety in a roadside bomb shelter, but were attacked by terrorists who threw grenades and opened fire. Idan was buried on October 12 and is survived by his parents and two younger sisters. He was known for his charisma, sense of humor, and love for surfing and water sports. Idan was about to begin his second year studying electrical engineering at Afeka College in Tel Aviv.
