Israeli troops have found weapons in nearly every home in a Lebanese village as part of their sweep and clear operations against Hezbollah. The IDF's 6th 'Etzioni' Brigade has been involved in uncovering and destroying Hezbollah weapons caches and infrastructure in southern Lebanon. The brigade's commander, Col. Sarel Sebag, stated that the villages strongly identified with Hezbollah, with weapons and signs of identification found in almost every home. The IDF opted for a limited ground operation against enemy infrastructure rather than launching a campaign to dismantle Hezbollah's military.
