However, UEFA stated that the club would not face sanctions. Retailleau said he would demand explanations from PSG and did not rule out seeking sanctions. The French federation (FFF) president and PSG director general were summoned for a meeting at the interior ministry. PSG's hard-line Auteuil Kop group displayed the banner before their Champions League game against Atletico Madrid. PSG stated that they were not aware of any plans to display such a message.
