The Israeli military plans to reopen the Kissufim crossing into central Gaza to increase aid flow into the southern end of the Gaza Strip. Aid agencies have warned of a humanitarian crisis in the north of the enclave. The new crossing will be opened following engineering work by army engineers to build inspection points and paved roads.
