Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara has stated that 7,000 draft orders must be issued immediately to ultra-Orthodox men in order to comply with the law and the state's pledges. The IDF plans to send out the orders at the start of next week, despite opposition from ultra-Orthodox parties who claim that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised to cancel the decision. The ultra-Orthodox community has been protesting against the draft orders, while most Israelis outside the community support scrapping the exemptions.
