The clean energy sector accounted for 10% of economy-wide job growth in leading markets for clean technologies, with the solar PV industry adding over half a million jobs. Employment in electric vehicle manufacturing and batteries also grew, while the oil and gas supply sector saw a 3% increase in jobs. The report highlighted a shortage of skilled workers in the industry as a major concern.
