DUP MP Gavin Robinson has asked Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer to help return a Northern Irish toddler to his mother after his father in Lebanon ignored a court order. Catherine Flanagan fled domestic violence in Beirut to come to the UK, but her son, David Nahle, is still in Lebanon. The Belfast High Court ruled in 2023 that David should be returned to Northern Ireland, but it never happened. Ms Flanagan has sought help from the UK embassy and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office but has not received the assistance she expects. Sir Keir Starmer has promised to ensure meetings take place with ministers to address the issue.
