Jewish National Fund-USA has pledged funds to renovate and upgrade the Shavu Banim Center in Be'er Sheva, Israel, which serves the country's second-largest community of Ethiopian Jews. The center, built in 1992, has fallen into disrepair over the years due to lack of funding. The organization has pledged half of the funds for the $400K project, with the municipality providing the other half. The renovated center will become a state-of-the-art educational and heritage center, showcasing the story of the Ethiopian Jewish community.
