Dozens of masked settlers set fire to buildings and a car in the West Bank village of Beit Furik near Nablus, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). The attack followed reports of Palestinians stealing sheep and attacking an Israeli man. The IDF dispatched troops and Border Police officers to the scene, using riot dispersal means to clear the rioters. No arrests have been made. Settler violence has increased since the Hamas massacre in October 2023, with attacks on Palestinians and human-rights activists. Israeli authorities rarely arrest Jewish perpetrators in such attacks, and convictions are even more unusual.
