The ADL should not be used except in exceptional circumstances, according to the Wikipedia community's editors. The reason for the ADL's classification was its alleged pro-Israeli bias and publication of false and misleading statements. In response, over 40 Jewish groups criticized Wikipedia for denying the Jewish community the right to defend itself. Meanwhile, Al Jazeera remains a generally reliable source despite criticism and being banned in Israel.
