The remnants of tropical storm Sara are still a threat to Florida, with forecasters warning of strong winds and heavy rain. The system, now a tropical rainstorm, is expected to reach the Sunshine State by Wednesday morning. The National Hurricane Center (NHC) reported that Sara officially dissipated in the Gulf of Mexico, but AccuWeather has labeled it a tropical rainstorm. The storm could bring flooding downpours and severe thunderstorms to Florida later this week. Sara is the 18th named storm of the 2024 hurricane season.
