IDF names commando killed in combat in southern Lebanon

The IDF has named Sergeant First Class (res.) Eitan Ben Ami as the commando killed in combat in southern Lebanon. He was a reservist in the Commando Brigade's elite Maglan Unit and was killed in a building collapse during operational activity. The military's death toll has reached 801 since the October 7 Hamas attack, with 273 reserve officers and soldiers losing their lives in the fighting. Another soldier, Sergeant First Class (res.) Omer Moshe Gaeldor, was also killed when a Hezbollah explosive drone struck an IDF unit operating in southern Lebanon.
