The resolution to block sales of tank rounds to Israel was opposed by 79 out of 100 senators, with 18 in favor and one abstention. The Senate is set to vote on two other resolutions to stop shipments of offensive military equipment. The resolutions were filed by Senator Bernie Sanders and co-sponsored by Democrats, with hopes of encouraging Israel and the Biden administration to protect civilians in Gaza.
