Researchers at Tel Aviv University and the University of Lisbon have developed an effective and inexpensive COVID-19 vaccine that can be administered as a nasal spray. The vaccine can be stored at room temperature and has proven effective against major variants of the virus. It eliminates the need for injections and can be administered by anyone with no prior training. The project has received research grants and is part of a broader vaccine platform development program.
