The UK Home Secretary has stated that there are proper processes to be followed if International Criminal Court (ICC) investigations become a matter for the UK. This comes after the ICC issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former defence minister Yoav Gallant over alleged war crimes in Gaza. The UK government respects the independence of the ICC and believes the focus should be on getting a ceasefire in Gaza. Downing Street backed the ICC's decision, while the Labour Government dropped the idea of a legal challenge to the arrest warrants before the general election in July.
