Five medics were killed in Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon on Friday, according to the Lebanese health ministry. Three medics were killed and three others were wounded in an Israeli strike in the town of Qotrani, while an earlier strike in the town of Deir Qanoun Ras Al-Ain had killed two medics. Israel sent ground forces into south Lebanon as part of its offensive against Hezbollah, aiming to secure the return home of people evacuated from Israel's north due to rocket attacks by the Iran-backed group.
