Hezbollah claims to have destroyed six Israeli tanks in southern Lebanon near a coastal village, as intense ground fighting continues in the area. The clashes come two months after limited exchanges of fire escalated into a full-blown war. Hezbollah said its fighters destroyed five tanks on the outskirts of Bayada and knocked out a sixth tank in the Deir Mimas area. The group also launched rocket salvos at Israeli troops east of Khiam. The conflict has resulted in the deaths of at least 3,754 people in Lebanon and 129 people in Israel.
