More reports indicate Israel has given tentative okay to Lebanon ceasefire

Israel has given its non-final okay to a ceasefire in Lebanon, according to reports from Ynet and Haaretz. The proposal includes three stages: a truce, Hezbollah removing its forces north of the Litani River, and an Israeli pullout from southern Lebanon. An international body led by the US will monitor the ceasefire, and Israel expects affirmation of its right to act militarily if Hezbollah violates the terms. US mediator Amos Hochstein warned both sides that he would end his mediation efforts if they did not agree to the deal soon.
