Foodtech startup gets regulatory nod for protein to sell cow-free milk in Israel

Israeli foodtech startup Imagindairy has received regulatory clearance to sell its animal-free proteins in Israel. The company uses precision fermentation technology to produce milk proteins that are identical to those in cow's milk, but without hormones. The approval allows Imagindairy to collaborate with food manufacturers to produce dairy duplicates such as milk, cheese, and yogurt. The startup previously obtained regulatory approval from the US Food and Drug Administration to market its animal-free whey protein in the US.
