Warner Bros. has tapped Aaron Sorkin to write and possibly direct a film about Al Schwimmer, the man behind Israel's Aerospace Industries. Schwimmer, an American-born aerospace engineer, helped build the Israel Air Force and was the founder and first CEO of Israel Aerospace Industries. The screenplay will be based on an article by David Kushner called 'America's Greatest Gift to Israel.' Schwimmer's efforts to found the IAF have been chronicled in documentaries and used as inspiration in other works. Sorkin, known for his work on The West Wing and The Social Network, recently left Creative Artists Agency after his agent made controversial comments about Israel's response to Hamas's attack.
