Hezbollah believes that up to 4,000 of its fighters may have been killed by Israel in the last year, according to sources. This estimate is much higher than previous tallies published by the group but aligns with Israel's announced figure. The sources also suggest that the high number of fighters killed could indicate a relatively low toll for noncombatants. Israeli military officials estimate that they killed around 3,000 Hezbollah operatives, as well as members of other terror groups in Lebanon. The fighting between Israel and Hezbollah has resulted in the deaths of 45 civilians and 76 IDF soldiers and reservists.
