The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out an airstrike on a Hezbollah facility in southern Lebanon, violating a ceasefire agreement. The IDF identified activity at the facility, which was used to hold medium-range rockets. Prior to the airstrike, the IDF fired warning shots at suspicious individuals in several areas of southern Lebanon. The ceasefire agreement, brokered by the United States and France, includes a two-month ceasefire period for Israeli troops to withdraw and for new security arrangements to be made. Israeli officials have stated that forces will be withdrawn gradually as they ensure the agreement is being enforced.
