IDF soldiers rescued a dog and her puppies while fighting in Lebanon before the cease-fire with Hezbollah. The soldiers found the thin, mixed-breed dog in a house and heard the howls of her newborn puppies. They provided food and water and carried the dog and her puppies to a secure location. The dog and her puppies were then transported to the Israeli border and received care from an animal welfare organization. They were taken to a veterinary medical center for observation and recovery before being transferred to a foster home.
