Israel's far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir has condemned the arrests of a senior prison official and two police officers linked to him as an attempt to oust him. The three were arrested on suspicion of bribery, abuse of office, and breach of trust. Ben Gvir called the arrests 'an attempt to bring me down, me, the government and the prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.' He also criticized Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara and urged Netanyahu to discuss ending her mandate.
