The country is uniquely positioned to benefit from its shift toward a sustainable energy economy. Saudi Arabia has the second-lowest methane intensity among major oil and gas producers and ranks second globally in terms of crude oil carbon intensity. The Kingdom plans to tender 20 gigawatts of renewable capacity in 2024. The energy minister emphasized the importance of energy security and expressed confidence in the long-term plans of Vision 2030.
