Hezbollah leader says $77m allocated to Lebanon war displaced

Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem announced that $77 million has been allocated by Hezbollah and Iran to assist Lebanese families displaced by the war with Israel. So far, $57 million has been paid to 172,000 families, with the remaining families set to receive $20 million. Qassem expressed gratitude to Iran for their support and highlighted Hezbollah's commitment to shelter and reconstruction. The World Bank estimates that the conflict has caused $5.1 billion in economic losses, with $3.4 billion in damage to physical structures and 99,209 housing units damaged. In addition to the allocated funds, Hezbollah will provide financial assistance for rent and furniture to those whose homes have been completely destroyed.
