Facing Eviction, a Group of Nuns Are Now Squatters in Their Own Convents

A group of nuns in Spain are facing eviction after breaking with the Roman Catholic Church and denouncing the Vatican. The nuns, known as the Poor Clares of Belorado, are now effectively squatters in their own convents as they fight to retain control of their properties. The Vatican had excommunicated the sisters and appointed a local archbishop to administer their finances and properties. The dispute has involved allegations of demonic possession, financial difficulties, and a search warrant for a mysterious gun. The nuns have renounced the Catholic Church and accused Pope Francis of usurping the Holy See.
