The World Central Kitchen (WCK) has fired 62 Palestinian workers in the Gaza Strip after Israel accused them of having ties to terror groups. WCK confirmed that it made changes in response to Israel's demand for an investigation into its hiring practices. The charity stated that it did not have access to Israel's intelligence and did not know the basis for the decision to flag these individuals. An Israeli security official claimed that the workers had affiliations and direct connections with terror groups. Similar accusations have been made against staff working for the United Nations Palestinian relief body, UNRWA.
