An IDF officer was killed during fighting in the northern Gaza Strip earlier today, the military says. The slain soldier is named as Maj. Hod Shriebman, 27, a platoon commander in the elite Multidomain Unit, from Tzofit. Another soldier with the unit was seriously wounded in the same incident, which the military says is under investigation. In a separate incident, a tank commander with the 401st Armored Brigade's 9th Battalion was seriously wounded by sniper fire in northern Gaza.
