The country is currently without a president and lacks effective diplomacy. However, there is hope for a better future. The international community will provide aid for reconstruction, but it will be conditional on the removal of armed factions, the establishment of a credible government, and a transparent process. A government of technocrats focused on governance, rather than political polarization, is necessary. Lebanon has shown potential for good governance through its emergency committee's efficient handling of displaced people. With the right support, Lebanon can rebuild and recover quickly.
