Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will undergo prostate removal surgery on Sunday after an infection was discovered in his urinary tract resulting from a benign enlargement of the prostate. Some of his upcoming scheduled days of testimony in his criminal trial may be delayed. This is not the first time Netanyahu has undergone surgery, as he had previously undergone surgery for a hernia and had a pacemaker installed. Despite protocols requiring prime ministers to release an annual health report, Netanyahu did not release one between 2016 and late 2023.
