A suicide bomber killed a local police officer and wounded another in the southern Iranian port city of Bandar Lengeh. The attacker detonated his vest after stopping Capt. Mojtaba Shahid's car. The city, which has no recent history of terrorism, is home to a large Sunni Muslim community. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack, but some local news outlets suspect Ansar al-Furqan, an al-Qaeda-linked Sunni armed group.
