A powerful earthquake in China's Tibet region has killed at least nine people and caused many buildings to collapse. The quake struck Dingri county with a magnitude of 6.8 near the border with Nepal. Tremors were also felt in Nepal's capital Kathmandu. Multiple aftershocks have been recorded, with the largest measuring 4.4 in magnitude. Local authorities are assessing the impact of the quake in various townships.
