Emirati billionaire Hussain Sajwani has pledged a $20 billion investment in the US data center industry, according to US President-elect Donald Trump. The investment by DAMAC Properties aims to showcase Trump's ability to attract new money for large projects. Trump has been focusing on bolstering investments in domestic industries and implementing higher tariffs on Chinese goods. Sajwani, chairman of Dubai developer DAMAC, stated that they plan to invest even more than $20 billion if market opportunities allow. This announcement follows Trump's previous announcement of a $10 billion Foxconn investment in a Wisconsin factory that did not materialize as expected.
